PROMOTING RESEARCH
People with hearing conditions tell us us they value learning about emerging research. Knowledge can be empowering and learning about research can provide a sense of hope. Some also say they would like to give back to others by participating in research.
Do you have what it takes to create change with us? We think you do. Have you got a project idea in relation to alleviating the social and emotional impacts of hearing conditions that you’d like us to contribute to?
In addition to undertaking our own research and development, Soundfair promotes the significant contribution that research plays in developing new evidence and innovation to improve the lives of people with hearing conditions.
Soundfair supports third-party research through the dissemination of project information and research outcomes and participation opportunities/recruitment pathways. We support third party research that:
- Is aligned with Soundfair’s vision for a fairer world for people with hearing conditions.
- Is ethically approved and safe for participants.
- Ideally, recognises and reimburses people with hearing conditions for their time and expertise in the lived experience.
We do not endorse or recommend any particular research project or related products, treatments, services or diagnosis, related to the research projects. We provide information and listings only, which we hope are helpful. Further advice regarding the research or participation in the research project should be directed back to the research team and/or the ethical approval committee that oversees the project.
Soundfair is able to provide a pathway for academic and industry researchers to connect with our community via our Facebook page and can help to recruit participants. Fill out the form, and we’ll be in touch to learn more about you and discuss how Soundfair can help you.
